Transcendent Night by dilekt Transcendent Night by dilekt
This is a collab with . I had fun doing this collab with him, he's a great guy. I did the terragen render and the asteroids and stars, and he did the rest and tweaked everything. He also came up with the idea behind this. Please leave any comments/favs, i'd really appreciate it. Enjoy.

EDIT: Took out the asteroids.

Nice, but to be honest, not up to the level of your other work in my opinion. Too many scattered elements with focus on none, and the mountains look fairly manufactured. Sorry to be so critical, but I like your work so much that this one was a bit disappointing.

I like it. The starscape is what really gets me liking this work. The planet thing is really well done. The terrain tho...honestly doesnt look that great. I understand its supposed to look superficial (sp?) and not real, but i dunno...mebbe im jsut too used to making more earthly environments. Good job anyways guys. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

This looks great and has a mystic feeling. It's like the whole universe is captured in this picture. It gives a sense of infinity.

this is odd, because of the eclipse, but its in no way a bad thing, really dig the terrain, and the simple space added to the image so it dosent look to clutterd, i like the panorama (sp)/wide screenness of this, nice job you two

very nice terragen job here. :) truly good. only the space additions look a bit flat... at least the planets. the starfield works very well.

Man.... it's so beautful and calm..... but the blending of the two planets on the left isn't good. As the atmosphere is in front of it, the dark side should be appearing, just like the moon in the day (ok, I know it's not day and there's no sunshine, bu the atmosphere stills appear)

Nice, the mountains seem to be reflective in some way, is this intentional?

Not really, I did more work than you see here. Adding graphics isnt everything you know...you have to deal with many things like research, the theme, the over all composition, detailing, finding errors and removing them, tweaking and such things...

that'd be fun to just sit under and gaze about for HOURS....I'd make sure I had total control so that I could continue to look for days on end - I guess it'd be nights on end then wouldn't it?

Awesome but, the asteriods dont make sense, why are they in the atmosphere unless it has zero gravity. But awesome none-the-less :) Awesome terra render.

Somewhat strange, but by no means ugly :D - there's some good terragen technique here, as there is no edge of the world, and the clouds and water are very good. I don't like the texturing but that's a minor quible, since the space and the composition are great. The asteroids could have done with a little toning down though - they look like they're right on top of ya! ...unless of course, they are :aww:

Og.
