good look with ure new intrest....i also have mixed feelings about DAv5 as well its cool to look at and its good to have a change...but like you say its not very user frendly any more...but weel get use to it
This must be viral. You are the second "space artist" that shifted focus to something else during the last 1-2 months. I hope it is not epidemic.
I should have bitten on my tongue when you uploaded the first photograph you did with your brand new camera some weeks back. I can't remember the exact words, but it had to do with not forgetting space art over the new camera .... or something like that. Damn it. I asked for it .
No honestly, do what you feel is right and what you want to do. Don't worry about the "us" here. I don't think that a lot of people will remove you from their watch list, but I am sure, that the "favs" will become less, unless you find a new photography fan base that compensates hehe.
Don't worry, i'm not taking a break indefinately. I should be submitting new art pretty soon. I haven't completely shifted focus, sci-fi art is still my passion.
I do Text art as you probably know, but love the Space art. I have PS, but use it not very often. I learn using it one step at a time.
I am curious how you start creating the Space art pictures. Just the basic planet shapes, surface and rough lighting. Are there any tutorials out there for that? I believe you are using Photo Shop, right?!
Spending more time with PS is on my to-do list for a very very long time. I used to pixel vga graphics, but that is way too time consuming. It took long in 320x200 pixel and 256 colors, but it would take forever if I would attempt something like this in 640x480 16bit and more. At least I can do (so "la la") shading and lighting BY HAND hehe. Lost art..
As I like both photography and sci-fi art, I just hope you keep up the good work on both areas. ^^
but i agree, i like the look, but its so complicated now.
